ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL & GOVERNANCE POLICY

1.          Purpose

Gough recognises that Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) responsibilities are crucial to developing resilient companies and services where the long-term prosperity of the economy and the wellbeing of communities depend on a healthy environmental, social cohesion and good governance through our services and the companies in which we partner with.

This Policy sets out Gough Recruitment’s (Gough) overall approach to incorporating ESG issues and principles into all aspects of the services we deliver.

2.          Policy Statement

  • Environmental Sustainability: Gough recognises that climate change is a systemic issue, affecting all sectors and geographies. As such, Gough is committed to operating in an environmentally responsible manner to reduce our impact on climate change, conserve natural resources and operate in compliance with environmental regulations.

 

  • Social Responsibility: Gough is committed to being a socially responsible employer by fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion across our business, promoting workplace health and safety, operating ethically and supporting local communities. We also respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights and labour standards.

 

  • Governance: Gough is committed to building a culture dedicated to ethical business behaviour and responsible business activity. We believe strong governance is the foundation to delivering on commitments and encourage the adoption of best practice in corporate transparency and reporting.

Gough aims to improve its own outcomes as well as help its stakeholders in relation to the following objectives:

·       Support and engage with local companies in relation to the services we offer

·       Support and engage with indigenous companies in relation to the services we offer

·       Act to prevent modern slavery within the supply chains of our operations and those of our service providers

·       Promote and continuously develop company procedures and policies

·       Corporate governance and oversight

·       Embrace corporate transparency (including financial and operating reporting)

·       Fraud, anti-bribery and anti-corruption controls

·       Comply with relevant regulations and standards

·       Act ethically with employees, clients and suppliers
